If you’d like to know about about the specific massage modalities that I use, you’ll find info about my primary techniques below.
Although some of the most common techniques I employ in my practice are each given a separate page below, during a Massage Therapy appointment I blend techniques together in a unique way as indicated for each individual patient.
SDTT® is a vigorous manual therapy that addresses deep muscles without the use of high pressure.
Muscle Energy Techniques comprise a gentle form of joint manipulation used to restore healthy motion to “stuck” or dysfunctional joints.
Myofascial Release refers to a collection of massage techniques designed to release “stuck” or adhered layers of fascial tissue.
Neuromuscular Therapy is a therapeutic massage technique that releases nodular “trigger points” in bands of taut muscle.
Therapeutic Exercise refers to the stretches, strengthening exercises, and hydrotherapy prescribed by your healthcare practitioner.

I am excited to announce the addition of a new RMT to Mighty Oak. Jocelyn Kirton has been an RMT since 2013, and like myself, has taken a special interest in serving persistent pain populations. Welcome to the team, Jocelyn!
